Oh, hello, thanks for stopping by. Having kept a diary all my life, I thought I’d create an online space where I can share my adventures, musings and inspiration with others. I’m Suzanne and I live in Brighton, on the South Coast of England. I changed my glass-making hobby into a full time pursuit when I opened a shop three years ago, after a decade as a support worker.
This is my shop, Little Beach Boutique, in the heart of an independent shopping area called the North Laine, in Brighton.
I started my retailing life in a tiny converted fisherman’s arch on Brighton Beach, which is where the name comes from. As a lifelong crafter, doing something creative for a living is a dream come true.
But being self-employed can bring lots of challenges and it can be easy to forget to pause and celebrate the smaller things – the little joys that add colour to life – a fleeting adventure, a woodland walk, a swim in the sea, or creating something new.
This blog is about those things, with the occasional glass tutorial thrown in for good measure!
I’d love to hear from you, so do get in touch via the contact form below. Or even better, pop into the shop to say hi – I’m there most days! Its 74 North Road, Brighton, BN1 1YD.
